With Dual Channel RAM, the data path is doubled by using two sticks of memory. By giving the CPU/north bridge another data path to the memory, bandwidth is effectively doubled. You will need a WIFI card if you want to connect your PC to your wireless modem to access the Internet. If the modem is in the same room as the PC, then you can connect the modem using a cable to the Ethernet port on the PC. But if the wireless modem is in a different room or a cable can not be run from the modem to the PC then you will need this WIFI card.
